Katie Poole is originally from Troy, Michigan. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Iowa in 2004, where she also played soccer for the Iowa Hawkeyes. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Michigan in 2008 and went on to receive her Doctoral of Nursing Practice Degree from Duke University in 2021. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist. Her current clinical interests include childhood nutrition, holistic care, childhood literacy, and child and adolescent mental and behavioral health. She has practiced as a pediatric nurse practitioner in various pediatric primary care clinics in North Carolina since 2009 and joined the team at Fox Pediatrics in the fall of 2024. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling with her husband, watching local theater, and spending time with her teenage daughter. Nowadays, she enjoys watching soccer from the sidelines as a spectator, as opposed to playing. She is excited to have joined the team at Fox Pediatrics.
