Our Providers

Shelby is one of our part-time primary care pediatric nurse practitioners. Shelby was a Yooper before joining us here in Central Michigan. Shelby started her nursing journey in 2014 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Finlandia University and then went on to Grand Valley State University and graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2018. Shelby has been practicing in the clinic since 2018 and has a special interest in developmental screening and surveillance, overall health promotion and general pediatric primary care, and evidence-based pediatric and adolescent mental health. Shelby is with us part-time to pursue her other passion of nursing education as she is a nursing professor for Grand Valley State University teaching across graduate and undergraduate nursing curricula. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her husband, daughters and golden retriever.
